We’re experiencing the lowest temperatures I have ever measured here at the southern west cost around Rivière Noire since I have arrived on the island. 14 degrees C. In words: fourteen.
Usually, winters are, or maybe were, around 20 to 22 degrees C, and during a cold night, the temperature may have rarely gone down to 18 degrees. Now it’s often around 15 degrees in the early morning.
I use a sheet, two blankets, and a duvet on my bed.
What’s next? Wearing pyjamas?! :)
Of course, the sun’s radiation strength is unchanged – and we have pretty clean and clear air here –, so it will lift the temperature through the day to 20 to 22 degrees. No reason to take that pullover off, though. Just the winter jacket.
