Adaptation

Bedroom temperature

With summer getting into full swing, I wonder if my body needs even more adaptation. My question is, does my body expect lower, European winter temperatures now, but experiences heat? Does my mind have a seasonal memory, and a related long-term control of bodily functions?

I do feel some tiredness, or exhaustion, compared to winter and spring, which were more like European summer, hence no surprise for such memory and control-loop, in case it exists.

We know our mind makes predictions, all the time, based on our experiences and thus memories, for our immediate (“real time”) perceptions.

A violated prediction results in surprise, focus, elevated attention, and possibly actions (including all related learning and memory-building).

But I don’t know about long-term predictions and violations thereof.
