So the Weather Gods decided to shatter our plans for a New Year’s Eve on the beach. Unpredictable, heavy showers and thunderstorms. It was better to have the dinner in a sheltered place; still outside, mind you.
The Gods showed some mercy and grace around midnight, so we could behold the many fireworks all around Tamarin bay from my terrace above my little house. Beautiful.
At least the temperatures have come down a bit, some 27 degrees at the moment. It’s still pretty humid though, the laundry only dries slowly. The weather forecast looks better again for the coming days – back to normal island weather. But we’re heading into cyclone season now…
