Some time ago I found this report. It’s about students wearing ear protection pads. Sorry, it’s in Germansky, so here’s the gist of it. A German school building was being renovated, thus a noisy environment, and the teacher and the parents decided to purchase these ear protection thingies against the distraction.
Now the interesting aspect is that most students will want to wear them also when they need to focus on some intense work, even if not necessary due to the construction noise.
